VOTER REGISTRATION
You are qualified to register to vote in Ohio
if you meet all the following requirements, updated per HB 3:
You are a citizen of the United States.

You will be at least 18 years old on or before
election day.

You will be a resident of Ohio for at least
30 days immediately before the election in which you want to vote.

You are not incarcerated (in prison) for a
felony conviction.

You have not been declared incompetent for
voting purposes by a probate court.
-
You have not been permanently disfranchised
for violations of the election laws.
You must be registered at least 30 days before
an election in order to vote in that election.
CHANGED YOUR ADDRESS ?
If
you are now registered and move within the state or same county or
change your name, you must report the change to the board of elections.
You may report the change:
- By downloading a
registration form from the Stark County Board of Elections (see link
below), complete it, and return to the Board.
- By registering at one of the following:

the Stark County Board of Elections,
-
any other county board of elections,
-
the Secretary of State's office,
-
any public high school or vocational school,
-
any office of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles,
-
offices of designated agencies that provide public assistance or disability programs,
-
any public library,
-
the county treasurer's office
- By completing a
notice of change in voting status and filing it with the court when you
apply for a marriage license or when your name is changed by court order.
Mailed forms sent
to a county board of elections or the Secretary of State's office must
be postmarked 30 days before an election to be valid for the election.
Forms not mailed in
must be received by the board of elections, the Secretary of State's
office, office of any Bureau of Motor Vehicles or designated agencies
30 days before an election to be valid for that election.
Exceptions:
* If you change your name, move within your precinct
or move from one precinct to another in Stark County, you may report
the change and vote by appearing at the board of elections during the
absentee voting period; or on election day you may go to the polling
place for the precinct in which you reside, or the board of elections.
* If you move to another county within Ohio or to
another state, you may cancel your voter registration within Stark
County, by completing the 10-A, Voter Registration Cancellation Request.

link below). Once you open the file, fill it out online, print it, sign
it and mail it to the Board.
